There’s a certain kind of magic that lingers in a Seattle summer. The air feels softer, kissed with warmth and the scent of blooming foliage. Golden light stretches endlessly across the skyline, melting into Lake Washington’s glassy surface. This evening with Olivia and Alain—boating beneath the sun’s fading glow—was the perfect reminder of why the Pacific Northwest’s long, rainy months are always worth the wait. With perfect weather and soft light on our side, we spent two laughter-filled hours exploring the place they now call home.
Golden Hour on the Water
When Olivia and Alain first began dreaming up their engagement session, they were instantly drawn to the idea of sailing across the Washington waters. While out to dinner in Kirkland, they discovered the charming Woodmark Hotel boat and knew immediately it was the perfect fit. The calm waves, the warm breeze, and the reflection of city lights on the water created the most romantic backdrop for their engagement photos.
